Dustin Putnam

Dustin Putnam works at Ball Aerospace in Boulder, Colorado, as a spacecraft control systems engineer. He has worked in the space industry for 21 years, spending the better part of the last 12 years on the Kepler space telescope as it moved from preliminary design through launch, commissioning, and operations. He has worked on several other civil and commercial space projects, including the Deep Impact and WorldView spacecraft. He has degrees in aerospace engineering from Iowa State University and Stanford, and is an avid science fiction enthusiast, comic book reader, and amateur astronomer.
